first, silence your mind from any distractions, from any thoughts, from any rules. there are no rules. and repeat, no rules.
now, think of a color. focus on that color. and nothing else. imagine the color hanging over your head. feel the color gradually touching you. let the color touch you. absorb the color. allow the color to slide down from your head through your whole body. take the color and leave what you do not need. let it exit through the bottom of your feet.
think of a different color. repeat the whole process two times. repeat a third time. then repeat it one last time. breathe in deep and breathe out slow. take another deep breath and breathe out very.. very.. slow.
get a piece of paper. get a pen. let the pen flow. let the pen write...
the year was 2007. the time when my other blogs were on their vanishing points. i remember intentionally switching the sexes so i can pass it around to my colleagues and see their reaction while at the same time not telling them who they were, let alone, who wrote it.
that was written when i met someone at work that stirred up my monotonous life. and so it was.. just one of those people you meet along the way.. who leaves a mark in your life.. but passes along and decides that the road ahead is not a road you would travel together. that there is a road different for you and there is a different road for him. you just happened to pass along one interesting intersection and one of you takes a detour. then you both accept. and live with that fact. that what is not meant to be, is not meant to be. and somehow deep inside you know that what you both shared with each other is the only thing that was meant to be. by fate.
i guess the story behind the story got more confusing now. but reading and finding it again within the archives of old work files inspired me more to write again. aside from the fact that it woke me up, one sleepy dull hour at work. and what a strange coincidence that i would find it again just on the right moment ~ just when i have started this blog!
i guess this 'waking up' is not only meant to wake my physical self up at that very moment, but also meant waking up my consciousness, my muse, and my writer's block.
thank you for the ripples. thank you for the memories.
